Privacy Policy

The Tesium privacy policy applies to the website which Tesium is responsible for. Tesium website may contain links to foreign companies, to which our privacy policy does not apply. Tesium considers the protection of personal data to be of the utmost importance. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to inform you about how we protect your privacy when you make your personal data available to us. Personal data is all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural Person (data subject), e.g. Name, address, contact Information, username, IP address, photos, Videos and location information, etc.

Insofar as personal data is stored and used for the proper implementation of our service offerings and for statistical purposes, this is done according to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

Below, we present to what extent and for what purpose user data is recorded, stored and used on the Tesium website.

Server Log Files

When you visit our Website, we automatically process in our Systems the Information that your browser transmits to us for security and technical reasons. Essentially, the website provider automatically records and stores the information that your browser automatically transmits to us in server log files.

These information are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • The opparating system used
  • The referrer URL (the website that has referred to our website)
  • Host name and full IP address of the accessing computer
  • Date and time of the server request
  • The URL (website) viewed on our Systems

This data is not combined with other data sources and we do not conduct any personalized statistical analysis based on this data. The basis of the data processing is article 6(1) (b) of the GDPR, which permits the processing of data in order to perform a contract or pre-contractual measures.

If we need data in order to identify you personally (personal data) or contract you, you will always be explicitly asked. The data enables the execution of a requested transaction. This can involve, for example, the subscription to a newsletter or a company Magazine.

Use and Sharing of Your Personal Data 

Personal data that you enter  on the Tesium website or communicate to us in another manner is recorded, processed and stored to enable us to correspond with you and for the purposes for which you have made the Information available to us. It is not shared without your consent unless the legal data protection regulations expressly provide otherwise.

If needed, we also pass the information along to companies affilited to Tesium service providers or other third parties. This may be necessary in order to render a requested service or transaction, such as order processing, event announcements, or for purpose of customer service. When sharing personal data with third parties, we limit ourselves to information that is necessary to preform our respective services. The respective third party provider may use this personal data exclusively to perform the requested service or to conduct the required transaction that occurs on our behalf. In this connection, the service provider is commited by us in writing to comply with data protection laws, usually through agreement for data processing.

We will never pass along, sell or otherwise provide the personal data that we record from you to third parties for external marketing purposes.

You can review, modify or withdraw your consent to the use of your stored data at any time by sending an email to Tesium GmbH at Data.protection(at)symrise.com. If you withdraw your consent to the use of your data, we can unfortunately no longer provide services for which we require your personal data.

Contact Form

Data transmitted by contact form, including your contact data, is stored exclusively in order to process your speific request. This data is not shared without your consent.

The data entered into the contract form is processed in order to handle your request (article 6(1) (b) GDPR). It is possible to withdraw the consent you have already given at any time. An informal notfication by email to Data.protection(at)symrise.com is sufficient to withdraw your consent. The legality of the data processing operations prior to withdrawal is uneffected by such withdrawal.

The data transmitted vio the contact form remains with us until you requested its deletion, withdraw your consent to storage or the necessity of data storage no longer exists. Mandatory legal provisions -particularly retention periods- remain uneffected.

Cookies

Our website uses Cookies in serveral places. Cookies are small text files that your web browser stores on your terminal device. Cookies help us to make our range of servicees more user-friendly, effective and secure.

A few of the Cookies we use "session cookies". Session cookies are automatically deleted after the end of your browser session. However, sometimes cookies with a longer storage period are used. Such cookies help us to recognize you when you return to our website.

We ourselves do not store any information in the local shared objects (LSO) area of your computer. In other words, we do not use any so-called "flash cookies". However, other services to which we link may use this function for their own purposes, if applicable.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the Google Analytics web analytics service. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, Ca 94043, USA. Google Analytics similarly uses "cookies".The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there.

Should IP anonymization be activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contractual states Party to the agreement on the european economic area before being transmitted. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server  in the US and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to render other services related to website use and internet use for the website operator. Google will not combine the IP address transmitted by your browser via Google Analytics with other Google data.

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is article 6(1) (b) GDPR.

Use of Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager, which helps to manage websites tags from applications like Google Analytics through an interface. The Google Tag Manager itself (which implements and activates the tags on this page) is a cookieless Domain and does not record any personal data. The tool activates other tags that record data themselves under certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation is undertaken on the domain or dookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Data from an Application

Your personal data, which you communicate to us in the course of an application and/or registration on the application portal, is recorded, processed and stored in order to correspond with you exclusively in the context of, and for the purpose of, our personnel selection process.

You can request that your data be delated through an email with a corresponding message to Data.protection(at)symrise.com or to a contact known to you at Tesium. Taking into account the legal framework, we will then arrange for you data to be deleted.

Security Priciples

In order to protect the data stored with us from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons, we have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures. Our security measures are being continuosly imprioved according to technological developments. If you should wish to contact us by email, please be aware that the confidentiality of the transmitted information is not guaranteed. The content of emails might be viewed by third parties.

SSL or TLS Enryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send us as the website oprator, our website uses SSL or TSL enryption. As s result, data that you send  via this website is not readable by third parties. You can recognize an enrypted connection by the "https://" address line of your browser and the padlock icon in the browser line.

Revisions to This Privacy Policy

For legal and/or organizational reasons, revisions or adjustments of our privacy policy are necessary from time to time. Please pay attention in this regard to the respective current version of our privacy policy, which can be reached automatically by clicking on the respective link. Revisions always apply to personal data recorded in the future. The protection of data the we recorded and stored prior to the revision is not affected by this.
